Hi everyone! my name is Gabe Cripe, Im a 22 year old college student from Indiana. Ive been a wrestling fan since I was about 6 and DDP has always been one of my favorite wrestlers and i have followed his career closely.
I was overweight pretty much my whole life and the worst part was i was completely comfortable with that on the outside but on the inside i was not happy. I ate alot of fast food and you could almost always catch me with a soda by my side. I wanted to be able to shop in the mall with all of my friends and go do different activities outside that for a normal person came easy but it was hard for me to do that at the time.
In June of 2012 I saw a video online of a man named Arthur and how he transformed his life, lost weight and was able to walk again without crutches! I was in amazement and thought wow if that guy can lose 110 pounds and not be able to walk I no longer have excuses.
At that moment I weighed 359 pounds and knew I had a very enduring road ahead of me If I really wanted to do this. So I got online that night, ordered my DDP YOGA dvds and waited with excitement for them to arrive. When they arrived my girlfriend of 5 years and I both started doing the workouts together, we worked out 4 days a week for the first 4 months and after those 4 months I had lost 50 pounds and my girlfriend brittany had lost 40! I then weighed 309 pounds by september. After we lost that weight all thanks to DDP YOGA we were able to add in some jogging and lifting in addition to our weekly yoga. fast forward 7 months to today and I have now lost 130 pounds and have reached my goal weight of 230 pounds! My Girlfriend Brittany has lost 85 pounds to date also so we have both lost a combined 215 pounds with DDP YOGA. I can now do all of the things I have always wanted to do and Im so happy and healthy now. I've went from a 3XL shirt to a XL and size 54 waist to a size 38. I am so thankful for Dallas and this system it has saved my life in more ways than one. My girlfriend and I still do the yoga 4 days a week and we will never stop doing it because it is now a very fun healthy part of our daily routines. My personal favorite workouts are the strength builder and below the belt. I will continue owning my life and improving in all aspects of myself because I have the self confidence and courage to know I can do anything!!

Hello my name is Brittany Blankenship. I am 22, I graduated from the Art Insitute of Indianapolis with a degree in Culinary Management. I have to say that all my life I have been over weight. I can't remember a time I wasn't. Most of my family is over weight so I thought I was destined to be over weight. In high school I played a bunch of different sports and when I was little I was pretty active. I just would eat horribly. I can recall a time I actually sat down in front of tv with a bag of chips and ate the whole bag beginning to end. Of course I would feel horrible after I would eat like that but I just found comfort in food. Everything that has to do with being with family and friends is surrounded by food. Being over weight is so depressing and embarassing. I was bullied a lot because of my weight. I was called "Big Fat BB" by these two boys in elementary. My brothers would constantly poke fun at me for being over weight but I would just shake it off and try to let them see that it got to me, but it did. I would always turn to food when I was sad.
Once I was in college I wasn't active at all. All I would do is go to class, get fast food, watch tv and sleep. I would occassionally make my own meals but they were never healthy. The thing that made me want to change my life and show myself that I wasn't destined to always be over weight was the day that my friend posted pictures of her wedding. I stared at the picture of me in the blue bridesmaid dress thinking "What the hell happened?" When I look into the mirror I don't see this, I am not really this big. I was just in shock with the picture that I wanted to change my life for good. Not only was the picture a wake up call, knowing that on both sides of my family my grandparents were diabetic and I don't ever want to become diabetic. I started by going cold turkey and only drinking water or tea with out sugar. I stayed away from soda. I started walking but I wanted something different, fun and more challaging. I watched a video that I found on pinterest and I shared and pinned that video of Aurthur Boorman. I showed my boyfriend Gabe Cripe the video and he was like "wait a minute!" he had to rewind the video again and he said "that's DDP!" and I was like "who?" and he explained to me who he was and showed me videos of him in WCW and WWE. After I showed him the video we did some research to see what DDP YOGA was all about and June 3, 2012 we started our first day of DDP YOGA.
I started my weight at 248 and now only 10 months later I have lost 86lbs I am now 162 lbs and so proud of where I have come from. I have a little less than 30 lbs left to reach my goal. I still don't drink soda or go to fast food places. Gabe and I are eating healthier and cooking our meals and not going out as much. We do DDP YOGA 4 days week and run 3 days a week. I am so glad that saw that picture of myself and saw that video or I would still be depressed, sad and over weight. I finally get to shop at the mall in the "skinny" stores. I went from a size 22 pants to a size 12 (almost 10!) and I was a size XXL shirt to a M size shirt! If I had to give you one piece of advice about DDP YOGA it would be don't give up! I couldn't do some of the moves when I first attempted them and now I can! I had to do "girl pushups" for about 3 months now I can do regular pushups and also I am so close to doing the splits again! I use to sit in the kitchen when I was younger and in gymnastics and do the splits and just sit there like that for hours. So never give up!
Warriors of the Month for November
I'm Don, I'm 43 years old. I spent 10.5 years in the Navy and in 1998 I got out, to pursue the rest of my life. Life after the Navy was not what I expected it to be. I sunk into the working world and worked my way up the ranks with the company I work for. I spent 10 + years driving all over the South fixing photographic machines, logging many hours behind the wheel of my car, and some days eating 3 meals a day while driving. Then I was promoted from fixing the machines to supervisor. Which meant I wouldn't have to travel as much and I thought I would have a chance at a "normal life".
Well 4 more years passed by, and instead of driving all day I found myself working 12-14 hours a day from home behind a desk and on the phone. I have always strived to be the best at whatever I do, and while doing just that with work, I forgot about me. Sure I tried the gym routine for a bit here and there, but just like most I got side tracked and it was a chore to fit it into my day.
2011 was not my year, every time I would start something, Life would get in the way and I was letting it take over. Between being sick for 3 months, and then shoulder surgery, I was glad to see 2011 go.
2012 would be my time to change things. I didn't realize until the late in the summer that I had a lot of cloths, and the sizes where bigger than ever, and I had gotten bigger than ever. Since 1998 I had gained almost 140lbs. I was on my way to trouble and I knew it. At 380 lbs I had to do something, I started researching many types of weight-loss surgeries; including lap-band, roux-en-y bypass and vertical sleeve gastrectomy. While I was doing that I stumbled on to Arthur's video. I was impressed, but skeptical, but it got me interested enough that I started researching DDP YOGA.
In August I signed up and ordered. Once I got the package, I had to read everything, still a little skeptical, but thought if ALL these other people could do it, there is NO reason I couldn't. And then on August 26th I watched DDP's "Live Life @ 90%". That was what locked me in. I decided September 1, 2012 would be the beginning of the rest of my life. I cleaned out my pantry, cleared a wall in my living room, and got to work.
Below is my chart.. in a short 60 days I have lost 36.5 lbs. And I feel better than I have in a very long time. And I know I have a long way to go but I can and will get to where I am suppose to be!
My workouts consist of Wake up every morning followed by the workout of the week, and I do that 7 days a week. And then an evening workout rotating thru the other workouts, I do that 6 days a week. But I also made a new rule for myself... "Any day that starts with "T" is a Diamond Cutter Day". I really look forward to Tuesdays and Thursdays! In the last 3 weeks I have also declared to myself that Thursdays are now Double Diamond Cutter days. One in the morning, and then in the evening again.
I am on a mission, to be a better person physically, than who met DDP in Nashville in September when I see him in Mexico in July 2013. This is not a temporary thing I'm doing. It is a lifestyle change! There is only ONE direction to go in, and backwards is NOT an option.
Being a longtime wrestling fan, a year and a half ago, I went on my first Wrestlemania trip. It was a week long party, and should have been the time of my life. However, I was at my heaviest weight of my life at this time and I felt self-conscious and uncomfortable most of the time I was there. I have been miserable with my weight for most of my life. Looking at the pictures from this trip was really the breaking point for me. I needed to do something about my weight now before I continued on this horrid path I was on.
I grew up watching Diamond Dallas Page . I knew he had a yoga program that was working wonders for others. I contacted DDP on facebook, and a week later I ordered pack 1 of DDP YOGA (then YRG). For 30 days, I was completely hooked. I did the workouts and adopted a gluten free and dairy free lifestyle. I was seeing results and feeling so much better about myself. But as can happen, I began to slip.
Over the next year, I was on again, off again with my workouts. I allowed myself to cheat over and over on my healthy eating. This, of course, produced no results.
In July of this year, I ran into DDP and was fortunate to spend some time hanging out and talking with him. If you know the man at all, you know that he is one of the most genuine, caring people in the world. One thing is for sure, he does not sugar coat anything. He was not pleased with my progress, and spent time giving me tips and advise on starting over. After nearly a year and a half of putting in minimal effort with DDP YOGA, I was starting over.
I started back July 24th, 2012 , and put all of DDP's tips and advise into practice. The results were drastically better this time. Putting in 100% effort made all the difference in the world. In the first 60 days, I lost 28 pounds, and several inches off of my body. I am on my way to day 90 of my reset and am even more motivated and dedicated than I was on day 1.
A huge part of my motivation has been the Team DDP YOGA community. I have never in my life known such a supportive group of people. I have gotten to know some of the best people through the community and cannot begin to express how grateful I am to be part of such a great group.
I know I have a long way to go before I reach my goal, but I am proud of how far I have already come. I hope that I can help others in the way that the team helps and encourages me every day. I would be nowhere without my Team DDP YOGA!
Warrior of the Month for October
Ten years ago, weighing 469.5 pounds, I underwent a radical, life-altering gastric-bypass surgery. In the span of 18 month, I had lost half of my total weight and was 235 lbs. I did a decent job keeping my weight in check for about 5 years. Then, my weight gain started all over again. Little by little, I was wasting my gift of a new life and body with every Big Mac and candy bar I stuffed in my face. This went on until last August when I finally got up enough guts to get on a scale again after years of not checking it: 360.2 lbs--in five years, I had managed to regain 125 pounds.
In addition to my enormous weight, I am challenged with a form of arthritis (even though I am only 42) that has caused several of my fingers to be fused in one position and makes several of my toes swell and stay bent unnaturally. This joint pain (in addition to my very heavy body) made it incredibly difficult to get out of a chair, much less going for a workout. Last August, I started trying to be a good boy and count my calories and hit the treadmill...and this newfound commitment to a healthier me lasted until right before Thanksgiving, when I gave myself permission to eat whatever I wanted again, and SWORE to myself that I would get my act together January 1...then after the SuperBowl Party...then after my birthday in March...
...In the middle of April, I finally got the guts to get back on the scale again...I can't remember whether it read 348.6 lbs or 346.8 lbs.
Depending on which reading was right, I had dropped a grand total of either 12 or 14 pounds...over the span of 9 months. I can't tell you
how horrible I felt about myself in that moment. I sat on the edge of our bathtub and had this thought, "Nolan, you CANNOT do this on your
own, you've already proved that. If you don't find SOME HELP in getting your weight back under control, you are going to DIE, you will leave your wife as a young widow, and your daughter without a father, AND YOU WILL HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME BUT YOURSELF!!!"
I have watched wrestling off and on for years and was definitely a fan of Dallas, and somehow (I can't remember where exactly) I heard DDP had created a “different” version of yoga. I decided it was worth a shot--I was certainly getting no where on my own! I got my DVDs just before the "Arthur boom" in May, but didn't really start the program full on until May 25. And when I started, I never looked back! Every workout was a challenge, but I kept pushing myself. Weight started falling off and my head started getting healthy, more healthy in my mind than I think I have EVER been in my life! I loved how I could modify almost any move in the workouts to get the most out of my body and I loved the rush of confidence I felt when I could nail something after trying for weeks sometimes (it took me 6 weeks to hit my first standing split and I will never forget the rush the first time I got my hands all the way to the ground without a chair or brick.) On August 1, I started a 30 day challenge, and with the daily encouragement of my boy Chad Collins through twitter, my streak is now at 90 days straight doing some workout in DDP YOGA (although normally 1 day a week, I keep it to a Wake Up or lightly engaged Energy). My favorite workouts right now are Diamond Cutter, Strength Builder, and Stand Up. I have even done Double Black Diamond a few times. I am not scared to try challenging workouts anymore...because I am proudly living life at 90%!!!
In addition to busting my butt with the workouts and eating the right way, I have really made it a point to try to encourage others on their DDP YOGA journeys through the TeamDDP YOGA website and Facebook page. I try to lift others up by leaving comments on their blogs, answering questions in the forum, and posting my own blogs and pictures as an encouragement and challenge on both sites regularly. I tell people all the time, If I can do this, I know they can! Several members of my family and some friends have started DDP YOGA in the last several weeks as a result of watching my progress.
Words cannot fully express my gratitude for DDP YOGA. I know with all my heart, DDP YOGA and gluten-free/dairy-free/clean eating has SAVED MY LIFE! Even more than that, DDP YOGA is transforming my life daily. I still have some arthritis pain and challenges in the workouts daily because of it, but I don't let that stop me from busting my butt on the yoga mat every day! I am more athletic and agile than I was 20 years ago, and with the help of DDP YOGA, I weigh 276 pounds today--84 pounds down from last August, and only 41 pounds from returning to my goal weight of 235 pounds, which I WILL REACH by my 43rd birthday (March 8)...and when I get there this time, I will have a system and a support network (TeamDDP Yoga), that will help me NEVER GO BACK to that old Nolan again. I would consider it one of the greatest honors of my life to become this month's DDP YOGA Warrior of the Month!
Warriors of the Month for September
I'm Adrienne, but some people around here know me as Ninja. I actually started this journey a little over a year ago. I have 3 children ages 6, 4, and 2. My story isn't too interesting. I found myself pregnant when I was already 276lbs and that set me back a bit. I had lost to 250 but gained it all back and then some to 280 when my daughter turned one. I was a size 22 pants and had trouble getting into those going to her 1st birthday party. I huffed and puffed around and just wanted to sleep. I was miserable. I told myself no more. I wanted to have energy to keep up with my kids. Figured the weight would follow.
I started walking, then started going to my gym and eating a whole foods 90% veggies diet. At this point I knew nothing about DDP YOGA. I started losing weight! I was able to do more and felt better and kept working. May of this year I found myself around 200lbs. I felt great, had started doing Jeet Kune Do and Wing Chun back in February and was really enjoying that and finding more nad more strength. I was still stuck. For 3 months I was stuck around 200.
Then Arthur's video went viral. A friend of mine joined and suggested I try it. I join and do energy. The next day I had lost 3lbs! I order my dvd's and get to work. I start toning up, and I go gluten free and my belly shrinks even more! I'm at 90 days now and have reached my initial goal size wise, but the scale tells me I'm at 170. My belly still has some jiggle to it, but I'm confident that is mostly loose skin and it will take some time for it to tighten up. You don't come back from 300lbs and a 10lb baby without some wear and tear. I know that at this point it will just take my continued efforts in working hard and eating cleanly.
I have lost 110lbs in roughly 14 months. Right now my favorite workout is a tie up between dbd and extreme hip, back, and knee opener. I really enjoy the combo in the psycho workout where you hop into black crow, pop into plank, msm, and down dog and repeat. My new goal it to get my stomach lean and sculpted and all the loose skin taut without resorting to surgery. Considering I've lost 110lbs in a short amount of time, it will take a while for the skin to catch up. My body isn't perfect...yet...but considering just how far I've come in a year, I know I'll be a force to be reckoned with next year!
My name is Mollie. I am a 26 year old writer and mother from Raleigh, North Carolina. Last winter, our family experienced a lot of personal hardship. We almost lost our son to MRSA, my husband was sick for a while, and I spent most of december in and out of the hospital finally having surgery the day before Christmas. I gained 30 lbs in a few short months, and became really unhappy with myself. I've suffered from PCOS and a neurological issue that causes a lot of pain and numbness in my extremities. It's been very difficult in the past
for me to find a work out plan that I could use to not only get in shape, but to feel BETTER about myself. When I saw Arthur's video, I knew I had no excuses. I realized that I am still young and healthy - and that I need to work WITH my body and not against it. First picture, of me in blue was taken august 13th. I weighed 228 lbs. I saw this picture and realized the irony of it. As a buddhist and a vegetarian, I have been very conscious of respecting OTHER lives, but I'd done a really poor job of taking care of my own life and body. That day I made the decision to buy DDP YOGA and start taking care of ME. The last two photos were taken on Sept 24th. Currently I weigh 200 lbs. None of my pants will stay up anymore, and I find that seriously exciting!
The way I FEEL has been completely transformed. I've found so much confidence in myself which has translated into every aspect of my life. DDP YOGA is not a temporary solution. It is a long term transformation into a better life, and I'm so thankful to have found it. I hope that my children will see my example, and choose to follow it, and know that they have the strength to be WHOM EVER they choose - and that they are never, ever stuck.
Warrior of the Month for August
Due to a back injury causing debilitating pain, I couldn't move. I couldn't walk. I couldn't sit. I couldn't stand. The pain was so bad that it drove me to non-stop drinking. For months, I would simply lay in bed, drinking until I passed out. This is no way to live life.
After watching the story of Arthur Boorman, I knew that if HE could do it, I could do it!
At 601lbs, I ordered DDP YOGA on May 9th and jumped in headfirst. Now, at my 12-week mark, I hit 501lb - a full 100lbs loss – and words can't express how good I feel... not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.
I'm well on my way to OWNING my life... taking it one day at a time, rolling with the punches, and living at 90%. You've only got one life to live... make the most of it.... make life better.
