I’m a full-time working, married mom of 2. For years, I used our busy lifestyle to avoid carving out time for myself. At 46, I realized by body was slowly getting bigger while my strength was slowly diminishing.
I sat around feeling bad for myself for six months. Just after turning 47, I made the decision that changed my life. I started DDPY.
A year later, I was feeling stronger mentally and physically. I was feeling unstoppable! I was feeling like I could bike the 10-mile commute to work instead of drive. 8 miles in, I was hit by a car. I suffered fractured vertebrae along with a sprain in my hand, and some nasty road rash.
Suddenly my strength journey was also a healing journey. DDPY and proper nutrition became necessities for feeling good every day. It wasn’t long before I knew I needed to share this amazing program with others.
I’ve since become a Certified Level 2 DDPY Instructor, NASM Certified Nutrition Coach, certified in Blood Flow Restriction Training, and now I’m here to be your Fast Track Coach.
I have also gone from being an expert in putting others first to knowing how to manage my time and prioritize my own health. I want to be here for the ones I love! I’ve been through the self-doubt, the fear, and the procrastination of making a change. If I can do it, you can do it! I’ll be here to guide you and encourage all the way.
FastTrack Clients who do not have active memberships to the DDP YOGA NOW app will be granted full access to all DDPY workouts during their coaching period.

I turned 46 this year. For most of my adult life I have been overweight. I’ve tried everything, would start strong, and then life would happen, the excuses would quickly follow and soon I’d be overeating to deal with stress and depression. The past several years my New Year’s resolution would be to lose 50lbs. I’d always end the year heavier than I started. Last Christmas I was the heaviest I had ever been. At 211, I was 1 pound heavier than the day I gave birth to my son 13 years before. I posted a pic that was taken of me, showing my outside matching what I felt on the inside. I again started working toward a goal of losing 60lbs, but only lasted a short time.I’m not sure what happened (disgust with myself, no clothes that fit, etc) but in August I did something I rarely do, I asked for help. I’d met Jennifer Thomas earlier in the year so I asked if she’d coach me. I immediately regretted messaging her and wanted to run away when she responded, but it was set and, it’s not hyperbole to say, she saved me. Our weekly meetings turned into mini-therapy sessions along with talking about DDPY and food choices. She was just so positive, supportive, and believed in me that I started to feel that way myself - for the first time in a long time. I started the year at 211, was 195 when I started working with Jennifer, and ended my 13 weeks at 169, with 33.5 inches lost. I feel like a different person, physically and, more importantly, mentally. I have a little more weight I want to lose but I’m so excited for my resolutions to be fitness goals (standing split and roundhouse) instead of weight loss goals. I know that I can do it and for the first time in many years I’m so excited for what’s to come!

I was not new to DDPY when I started working with my Fast Track Coach, Jennifer Thomas. I had 9 previous attempts, and I knew I would need help along the way if I wanted the 10th time to be the charm. I was quick to say “no” to everything Jennifer suggested, but after digesting the information, I knew I had to try something different because my way didn’t work after all. She challenged me, pushed me out of my comfort zone, educated me, held me accountable, and celebrated each and every win along the way. I don’t like setting goals. Goals have always been another opportunity for me to fail along the way. You know on day one, Jennifer made me set goals. I set out to lose 30lbs in 3 months. The good stories would continue on to explain how I lost more than 30lbs, but I’m going to keep it real. I did not meet my goal. I fell a few pounds short. I lost 25.6 lbs. It did not mean I was a failure. Jennifer helped me to look at what I had accomplished and I was damn proud of my 25lb loss. I gained a lot from this experience too. I had not been able to do a single push up my entire life and was tormented in phys ed class, but now I can do a push up. I gained confidence. I learned to trust another human being. I discovered how much better by body felt by just making some simple changes. I learned that I was deserving of good things. My faith has been restored and I know there is hope, thanks to Jennifer!
