When I was younger, my life revolved around athletics and fitness. As a Big Ten college basketball player my days were filled with practices, weightlifting, conditioning, and the inevitable rehabilitation. By the time I'd completed my four year scholarship, my left knee had gone through four reconstructive surgeries and, in the words of my surgeon, looked like an 80 years old's knee. I was extremely limited in the activities I could do (no more running, jogging, plyometrics, basketball or other impact sports....) and I resigned myself to choosing between inactivity and daily pain.
Ten years later, I'd gained 35 pounds and lived a sedentary life. Every once in a while I'd get so frustrated with myself that I would try to start running or working out the way that I used to, only to run into more pain, swelling, and depression when I failed.
Then, I saw Arthur's video from a friend's Facebook page. I was so inspired, and was immediately interested in his workout regiment. If he could do it, I felt that maybe I could too!
I ordered DDP YOGA, and I can't say enough about what it has done for my life. I finally have a no-impact program that actually gives me a REAL workout! DDP YOGA is something that I can stick with, that I can do at home (with my full-time job and two toddlers)! I'm down 30 pounds in 4 months, and I feel great. The best part is that my friends, family, and coworkers have noticed a real change in how I approach my life. Every day, I ask myself "What do I REALLY want?" and make decisions that help me OWN MY LIFE.
