I Almost Gave Up On Getting Fit Again.
Watch David Williams's Transformation*
I am 45 years old and have had back problems for the last 20 years. Six years ago I ruptured my L4-L5 disc. After my surgery, I still had back pain, which eventually led to a second back surgery in July 2012. In the years before my second surgery, I found myself becoming less active due to the fact my back hurt so badly. But, I was looking forward to recovering from my second surgery so I could get myself back into shape.
I then received my post-surgery restrictions which included no impact activities. I was left with walking and using an elliptical machine. I was very discouraged knowing that I had the drive to get myself into better shape but my body wouldn't allow it.
In late November, I was in my truck listening to the radio and there was a guy by the name of Diamond Dallas Page talking about his strength building non-impact YOGA. I had heard of DDP, the wrestler, and could relate to the back injuries he has had and how DDP YOGA could be a perfect fit for me.
It’s been 102 days since I started DDP YOGA and the results have been nothing short of amazing. I have lost 50 pounds and my back hasn't felt this good in years. I’m doing the YOGA 6-7 days a week and Red Hot Core every other day. The food program has been easy to follow. I haven’t had fast food since November, (and don’t miss it), it's like my body cleaned itself out and doesn’t want any more of the crap it was getting before. Additionally, I do the elliptical 3-4 days a week for 30 minutes.
DDP YOGA has been a lifesaver for me! My entire body is getting stronger and leaner. The core strength I am building without any back pain is the key to living a pain-free healthy life.
Seven Month Update:
Seven months into DDP YOGA. Blew thew my original goals and have lost 63 pounds from 233 to 170. Having had a lot of back problems two surgeries this program have provided me the opportunity to lose weight and strengthen my core. Without it I was unable to get myself back into shape, my back wouldn't allow me to. DDP YOGA has truly been life changing for me. My back isn't heeled but it is getting better. I look forward to my workout everyday !!!
