I have lost weight three times in the last 15 years, I have done Body for Life, P90X, BodyBeast, TRX Force and more. The problem is every time I started loosing weight, I kept pushing harder and harder. By the end of 6 months of doing Body for Life I was working out over 2 hours a day 7 days a week. It eventually lead to injuries. The same for P90X, I did almost 200 days straight but was doing doubles, and killing myself. This year after seeing Arthur's video, and having a brother with a back injury from the Canadian Military we decided to being DDP YOGA together.

My weight now is lower then I recall it being since my teens. and it is still dropping off. When i feel like more and do extra DDP YOGA I fell better, with other programs the more I did the more I hurt and eventually was injured and sidelined. In 2007 I tore my rotator cuff at work. I was off work 3 years, first physio 5 days a week for a year then surgery, then physio 5 days a week for a year then retraining. Part I. Part II. Part III. At the end of that I had permanent restrictions, was not to lift 10lbs above my head or work with arms over head for extended periods. I also was diagnosed with about 15% loss of range of motion.

It had bothered me off and on since that time. Today after 5 months of DDP YOGA I have almost 0 loss of range of motion and it has not bothered me in about 3 months. But my changes or really just fixing my own mistakes, letting habits slide, poor exercise and eating. Giving up. But DDP YOGA has helped my son in ways I never imagined.  My son is almost 6, he has neuro fibro mitosis. He has been doing Occupational Therapy and Physical therapy for almost two years. He had started getting frustrated and upset because his younger sister who is almost 3 can do stuff he cannot or she can do stuff better than him. For the last 3 months he has done DDP YOGA with me between 2 and 4 mornings a week. He is making great gains and can now do stuff he could not before. He had great flexibility can put his feet behind his head. But he lacked coordination, fine motor skills, balance. His balance is improving, his confidence, his life. With this condition he might developmentally not only plateau but regress.

I believe with the improvements DDP YOGA he is making that will not happen. He loves showing guests and visitors the Diamond Cutter, Broken Table, Broken Air-plane. He knows Wake up and Energy almost by heart now. Both his younger and older sister like doing it also. It is amazing to do a working out with a 7, 6 and 3 year old. I am in tears writing this. My changes are fixing my mistakes, but to be able to give him a leg up an advantage at his age. I will never be able to thank you enough. So the words will need to suffice. Thank you! As a father I thank you.
