After 3 near deaths, it was time for a change...

All of my life I have battled something. Weight has been a great issue. The past 5 years have been a major roller coaster ride for me. I have been through divorce, bankruptcy, battling my demons, and 3 near deaths. I have been sober since May of 2011. I met my now wife in June of 2011. In July of 2012, I was forced to quit working and driving due to blackout spells. Doctors still cannot find out what is causing them. Due to the falling, my body is pretty banged up. I had gained a lot of weight over the years.

While I have been sitting at home during this downtime I decided to get back into college via online classes. This past month I graduated with a certificate in Small Business Management. I decided I am not going to let all of this get me down. I have to try to work from home with my own business.  I’m a fighter and I will not give up. The doctors even told me I was going blind. But I know I can get past this.

I have been a huge wrestling fan for over 30 years. When I saw DDP and DDP YOGA I was hooked. I knew that was for me! What inspires the most about this is DDP’s positive thinking. I am a positive thinker. I may be hurt and I may be broke but DDP YOGA ain’t no joke! This body will make a comeback! I can’t afford the doctors but I can afford to this. To all the people at DDP YOGA: Thank you and God bless!

Seven months ago, I made a decision to change my life. I wasn't going to try something I was going to do something! I was tired of living this life of physical pain. No "diet" can help. No magic pills. DDP YOGA has been a life style change and blessing! Its more than just working out. I am living my life like i should. I am 133 lbs down with 70 to go. The journey will continue. After that goal, there will be more goals to reach. Never stop believing! Thank you for your support. God bless.

16 months ago when I stepped onto the scale and saw 448, it forever changed my life. That was the day I decided to make a change. This journey started out slow. I could hardly get through the Diamond Dozen when I started. Each day I told myself I would get better.  6 months later I got my first call from DDP. When he calls you it means something! He always gives me the inspiring talk that I need. In month 11, I got my second phone call from Dallas. This time he wasn’t talking about my weight loss.

He was talking about me becoming a certified instructor! He wanted to make sure I was still setting goals beyond losing the weight. That’s the drive that I have instilled in myself while on this journey. The support from the DDP Yoga Community has been amazing. I have made some great friends along the way. If you are starting your journey, always remember patience + time + work + self-belief = results! Anything is possible if you believe it and put in the work! If I hadn’t believed in myself in these

16 months, I would have never accomplished my goal of getting rid of 203 lbs. It’s your life. OWN it! God Bless.
