Craig Barnett
This will be the first time I have ever shared this with anyone outside my immediate family but I feel I must thank you for your guidance and support.
My name is Craig ,I am 38 from the UK and I am a School teacher and professional musician.
I recently met you at the Workshop in Frome (UK) with Jamie Curd.
In 2015 I was diagnosed with Ménière’s disease (a inner ear condition which causes vertigo and other symptoms which makes normal life very challenging).
Unfortunately this condition has no cure and will most Likely result in me being completely deaf within the next 10-15 years.
For a musician this news was devastating.
The diagnosis quickly pushed me into a serious bout of depression.. without the support of my loving family I don’t believe I would be here today.
I lost Control.
I started to drink alcohol .. a lot.. and eating bad food was a comfort for me.
I ended up on lots of tablets and in therapy.
I hated myself.
On the 1/1/18 (with the help of my doctor, family & therapist)I knew I needed to turn my life around.. I took the photo .. and turned to you ..Diamond Dallas Page and DDPY for guidance.
I quickly began to realize that this was a calling to me , not only did the symptoms of my Disease get easier to deal with, I wanted to own my life again... I wanted to do this.. I have to teach this to others.
So I signed up to the certification program and have not looked back.
I was inspired so much by Hayden’s story and more recently Jay curd’s journey to certification.
Not only have I lost over 20lbs in the last 3 months but a truly amazing thing happened on my last trip to my Doctor.
My Doctor informed me that I was now doing so well that I am to be taken off the antidepressants…I was supposed to be on them for 3 years …and I have beaten it in 9 months !! all thanks to you and DDPY.
DDP Yoga has 100% saved my life.
When certified my plan is to teach DDPY to my school children and local schools as well as spread the awareness of mental well being in the young.
Thank you to you, Brenda ,Hayden and everyone I have met so far on this journey ...
I got this!!
