Here is my transformation update, I couldn’t be more excited to share my final results with you! I have just completed the Bodybuilding.com $250k Challenge, which was a 12-week body transformation contest that started in mid-January and ended this weekend. In the span of 12 weeks I was able to lose 30lbs of mostly bodyfat, starting at 254lbs (25% bodyfat) and ending at 224lbs (15% bodyfat)! Despite being athletic and active in the gym, I have always carried an unhealthy level of bodyfat. I have never felt comfortable with the size and shape of my body, despite going on multiple diets and trying new exercise programs.
DDP Yoga played a huge role in my current transformation! I honestly have fallen in love with DDP Yoga! I completed the Intermediate 2.0 program on the DDP Yoga app, which was the perfect compliment to my grueling bodybuilding workouts in the gym. DDP Yoga served as not only a compliment in strength building, but also provided the perfect level of active recovery and replaced a lot of cardiovascular workouts. The normal lower back pain and joint aches that I was accustomed to have completely diminished. I started nearly every morning with DDP Yoga, trained 5-6 evenings per week in the gym following a well planned weight training program suited for maintaining muscle mass while losing body fat. My diet was on point each and every day, consuming 2000 calories per day (190g protein, 175g carbs, 60g fat with no less than 1.5 gallons of water per day). The discipline, determination and sacrifice that it took to make this change was more than I ever thought I was capable of. Despite working 6 days per week in a stressful job as an Optometric Physician, I still found time to put in all the work that was necessary. I did not miss a single workout or eat a single cheat meal. I poured my heart and soul into this journey!
I have never felt better. I have never been stronger or more flexible, and my cardiovascular capacity is through the roof! From this point on, I am going to continue to get stronger and leaner, and never return to my previous weight. In the future, my goal is to continue doing DDP Yoga on a daily basis. I am going to make it a priority to plan a visit to the DDP Yoga Performance Center to meet the crew and thank everyone that I can in person. Thank you Diamond Dallas Page for your DDP Yoga program! #DDPYogaWorks
